Production Function Analysis for the Semi-Subsistence Irish Potato Production Systems and the Farmers’ Economic Well-Being in Santa, Cameroon

The objectives targeted in this study are: to identify the drivers of semi-subsistence Irish potato production; evaluate effect production on farmer’s economic well-being and constraints associated with Santa, Cameroon. made use a Cobb Douglas function analyze results. Primary data was collected via simple random sampling. results showed that startup capital, quantity seeds planted, fertilizer applied, level education, labour input per season pesticide usage all had positive significant produced. It also observed well-being. Further, insufficient climate variability, fluctuation market price, poor farm roads, lack improved seed varieties, high cost input, pest disease are major production. suggests should be encouraged Santa by focusing more its specific determinants.
